MATTHEW ROSE
Matthew Rose, born in 1959, in New York, graduated from Brown University in 1981 with a degree in Linguistics & Semiotics. He currently lives and works in Paris, France producing collage works, drawings, prints and altered objects. Over the past 30 years, Matthew’s work has been exhibited across the planet, often in mind-bending wall-to-wall installations – Scared But Fresh, The Letters, Pressure Washing, Confessions and Spelling With Scissors. Publications include: Cutting Edges (Gestalten); Masters of Collage (Lark), Collage (Black Dog Press), Illusive (Gestalten) and Axis of Evil (Qualiatica). In 2009, Matthew Rose launched the global project – A Book About Death – an ongoing unbound book and exhibition on the subject of death, with more than 30 exhibitions from New York to São Paulo to Australia.
