Jeff Alessandrelli
What I Want (Rosetta Stone Remix)
A tall thin husband
that hogs the ball,
has always,
will always.
Not to study Spanish over a prolonged period of time
but to suddenly speak Spanish fluently,
sin esfuerzo.
A complete fasting of the mind,
the moss and thick underbrush
covering its outer shell
worn in the manner of a redheaded woman
wearing her curly red hair.
Me entiendes?
A bright spring day suddenly rinsing
out this ash of enveloping smog
the world entire.
A tall man
with a thin face
peering with great intent
into a thick book.
But a coloring book!
Surely my husband will not be able to read!
Como nativo sería hablarlo.
Bones of steel
encased in fluffy white clouds.
H2O mixed with CO2.
Permanent
fasting of the mind.
